November 5, 2025Dear partners and supporters of the Not Just A Game project,
We are excited to share some important updates on our Erasmus+ project “Not Just A Game: Countering Radicalisation through a Sports Intervention “:
- New Website Launch:We are thrilled to announce the launch of our project website! Visit notjustagameproject.eu to learn more about our mission to prevent violent extremism and radicalization among young people through targeted sport interventions.
- Project Meeting in Čadca: On May 22nd, 2025, our project partners gathered in 📍 Čadca for a productive meeting. We made significant progress in developing our innovative online training program for youth workers and sports coaches, and explored strategies to use sports activities for preventing and countering radicalization among young people.
Training Programme Development: We’ve completed comprehensive field research across partner countries, surveying youth workers and sports coaches to understand the current landscape and challenges in countering radicalization through sport. This is a basis for the next step in our project: developing a training program to equip youth workers and sports coaches with essential skills for prevention and intervention. The training will be online, but some parts of it will be tested during the LTTA (Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity) meeting in 📍 Riga – September 9th to 11th, 2025. This LTTA will be a crucial step in testing and refining our approach to using sport as a tool for countering radicalization.
