KERIC is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation based in the Kysuce region of northern Slovakia. Founded in 2003, it focuses on working with children, youth (mainly aged 15–30), and adults through non-formal education with an international dimension. KERIC’s mission is to connect its local community with the wider world and promote openness and tolerance towards different cultures, backgrounds, and identities.

Each year, KERIC engages hundreds of young people through regular weekly activities such as language courses, workshops, a Language Café, and board games, as well as occasional events like summer camps and intercultural street activities. It also runs international youth exchanges and has extensive experience in hosting and sending volunteers within the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) and Humanitarian Aid programmes.

KERIC works closely with about 30 local schools and provides non-formal learning opportunities for over 1,500 students by involving foreign volunteers. The organisation also supports adult education through language courses, workshops, and both national and international training seminars for teachers, youth workers, and educators. Since the war in Ukraine began, KERIC has been actively involved in supporting Ukrainian refugees in Slovakia.
