Études et Chantiers Corsica (ECC) is a non-profit association based in Bastia, Corsica, created in 1995 under the French 1901 law. It promotes the socio-professional integration of young people and adults through economic activity, training, and education.
Operating in both rural and urban areas, ECC runs workshops and integration projects focused on environmental protection, restoration of built and natural heritage, and local development.
The organisation adopts an inclusive, hands-on “learning by doing” approach that fosters solidarity, citizenship, and sustainability. Its work spans key areas such as youth empowerment, education, inclusion, ecological transition, and digital literacy.
At the European level, ECC has been actively involved in several Erasmus+ projects, including Let’s Mimic (biomimicry and pedagogy), Drop Out (support for early school leavers), START (art-based awareness and social change), and Climate Heritage (raising climate awareness through cultural heritage).
Through these initiatives, ECC contributes to the development of innovative educational tools and inclusive methodologies that enhance employability, civic engagement, and social cohesion, both locally and across Europe.
